Taj Mahal History


Taj Mahal is a white marble mausoleum in Agar, India. It was built (1632-1643) by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the loving memory of his wife Mumtaj Mahal. It was designed by the Iranian architect Ustad Isa and Ustad Ahmad Lahouri. More than 1,000 elephants were employed to transport the construction materials used to build the Taj Mahal.
