What is the difference between Arteries and Veins ?

Arteries and Veins are the two types of blood vessels in the circulatory system of the body. Arteries carry the oxygenated blood away from the heart to the body. Veins carry the de-oxygenated blood back to the heart. The largest veins in the human body are the vena cava.The two primary circulatory loops in the human body is : the pulmonary circulation loop and the systemic circulation loop. The heart connects to the great blood vessels of the body – aorta – vena cava – pulmonarypulmonary veins.
